Random Ponderings:

Why do people call it an ATM machine, but they know it's really saying Automated Teller Machine Machine?

What does the T in T-Shirt mean?

Why do toasters always have a setting so high that it could burn the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

VERY good questions....

... if you pay attention, not everyone actually says "ATM machine" - they'll just say ATM...

... T-shirts are so named because they are shaped like a "T" - the T doesn't actually stand for anything. Go figure!

... because if you put the bread in the toaster and then turn it up to the rediculously high setting, it will get to the point you want it at much faster than it would if you waited for it at a normal setting - then you can just take it out before it pops.
